This is a collection of mad, funky soul from King Hannibal, a.k.a. The Mighty Hannibal a.k.a. James Shaw, a down and dirty singer (often with turban) from the Atlanta scene of the late '60s and '70s! Included are extremely intense tracks s.a. 'Hymn No. 5' (long version), 'I Got That Will', 'Wake Up', 'The Truth Shall Make You Free' and others. On this LP Hannibal is backed by energetic, top notch musicians, including Lee Moses contributing his raw, fuzzy, funky, psyched out guitar pyromanics. Awesome and essential!
