Grammy award winning guitarist Henry Kaiser is best known for his work with such well-known musicians as Jerry Garcia, Herbie Hancock, Wadada Leo Smith, Richard Thompson, and his 'world music' project with fellow guitarist David Lindley, 'A World Out Of Time'. Guitarist Ray Russell is considered one of the earliest free jazz/noise-electric guitarists. 'The Celestial Squid' is Ray's return to his roots as an 'out' guitarist, along with Henry and 8 additional musicians, including Michael Manring (Michael Hedges), William Winnant (Sonic Youth), Steve Adams (ROVA Sax Quartet) and Weasel Walter (Lydia Lunch, Flying Luttenbachers).
