The Matches came to our attention during their storied major label bidding war that evidently ended in a tie between Epitaph and Rick Rubin. Their high selling self-released debut album 'E. Von Dahl Killed The Locals' was re-released on Epitaph Records in May of 2004, and was also nominated for 'Outstanding Debut Album' at the California Music Awards. The band runs a legitimate d.i.y. empire out of their Bay Area home town venue / web cast headquarters, imusicast.com where they've honed their song writing skills and stage presence. They've developed a super strong home town following by playing with everyone that's come through and have recently cranked it up a notch with major tours in the U.S., Europe, Japan.
