Retaining the epic song-structures familiar from "To Be Fed Upon", "Applied Structure In A Void" marks a new maturity in the development of DIE SEKTOR?s sound - placing less emphasis on distorted vocals and EBM beats in favour of more thoughtful (even experimental) arrangements that incorporate elements from a wide spectrum of musical genres. With "Applied Structure In A Void", as ever, DIE SEKTOR continue to adhere to their declared aim of producing "powerful, emotional and innovative electronic music". Originally formed as a duo by Gant and Denman in 2002, DIE SEKTOR were quickly signed to leading German harsh-EBM label NoiTekk following the self-release of their 5-track demo "Scraping The Flesh" in 2004. The acclaimed debut album "To Be Fed Upon", mastered by Kolja Trelle (SOMAN), was released by NoiTekk in 2006 - and later by Russian label Gravitator in 2007. Subsequently DIE SEKTOR have remixed several high-profile artists in the electro-industrial scene including DAWN OF ASHES, GRENDEL, and most recently ALIEN VAMPIRES, CEDIGEST and DETROIT DIESEL. "Applied Structure In A Void" will be released simultaneously by NoiTekk in Europe, COP Int. in North America and by DWA in Asia-Pacific on February 25th.
