DETONATIONS is a three piece rock-n-roll time bomb from downtown New Orleans with one of the most explosive freaked-out sounds we've heard in years. JOHN HENRY plays a souped up Fender Tele with bass strings hooked into a bi-amp system, splitting the bass and guitar tones, while JULIEN uses re-wired microphonic guitars thru Fuzz. These elements combined with KEITH's caveman drumming and some odd tunings, create an infectious and furious beat up sound. JULIEN and JOHN HENRY hail from the notorious ROCK ANTAGONISTS SEX HUNTER, and KEITH was the mad beat machine behind Albuquerque New Mexico's the DRAGS (Estrus records). With one eye on the past and one eye on the future, DETONATIONS have spent the past year and a half polishing their loose/tight jive sound, and their explosive debut album 'Static Vision', is produced by legendary JERRY TEEL (Boss Hogg, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Knoxville Girls) : it's dance damaged time!
