The sound is a mix of heavy metal from the '80s, symphonic power metal and U.S. prog-metal. Speaking of vocals, singer Joe Lombardo is a splendid mix of Helloween's Kiske and Queensryche's Tate. Nine tracks of pure heavy metal, 'In Memory' is a restless and evocative beginning while 'Whispers' and the title track are a mix of power rhythmics and melodious vocals. Also included is the power-epic song 'Leave The Shades Behind'; the thrashing 'Light And Dark'; the celestial ballad 'Life's Best Days'; and the intricate power-symphonic song 'Old Symphony'.
