Walter Duda is a self-taught musician and songwriter who has achieved significant radio air play of his music worldwide. His latest release is entitled Kindred Spirits. All songs were written by Duda and feature top New York City area session players: Will Lee (David Letterman show)-bass; Chris Parker (Stuff, Saturday Night Live)-drums; Joel Rosenblatt (Spyro Gyra)-drums; Tim DeHuff-guitar; Bill & Don Harris-horns. The album is not only musically appealing but well recorded. In addition to four instrumental tracks which have a very creative edge to them, there are four vocal tracks that reveal a style influenced by Michael Franks and Steely Dan. This album is a tasty sampling of this jazz dude's melodic composing and funky arrangements.
