ARCHIE LOVE simply had no choice… living in Memphis, Home of the Blues, a musically enriched family of gospel singers, to include his father, sisters, brothers, and children, church chorus, school bands, his own band, ‘FREEDOM EXPRESS”, and becoming the drummer for SOUL CHILDREN at the age of 18, there was no escape, for music was his destiny! His career spans two decades and the musical accolades of this musically talented vocalist, writer, percussionist, producer, and arranger, is none other than phenomenal! While playing with The FREEDOM EXPRESS and working with The SOUL CHILDREN, ARCHIE’S skills were so impressive that he began working and touring with DENISE LASALLE and J. BLACKFOOT in addition to working as a studio vocalist for numerous others such as the BARKAYS. These experiences and increased exposure further encouraged ARCHIE to re-direct his group to work on their own original projects as well as to develop a name more befitting to what they aspired to be. “The MAIN ATTRACTION” with this concept in place and a shared mutual vision their energy attracted the attention of RCA RECORDS. Their debut project entitled ”ALL THE WAY” went to the “Top 50” on the National Billboard Charts featuring their hit single “ RAINY NIGHTS’ produced by the band. It was later released by CHICO DEBARGE and #3 on the National Billboard Charts. Soon after, negotiations with MOTOWN resulted in a major recorded offer and another rebirth to the group’s name and vision. They became THE RIGHT CHOICE with a self-entitled album, “THE RIGHT CHOICE”, releasing another chart buster in the rendition of AL GREEN’S hit single “ TIRED OF BEING ALONE” that peaked at #8 on “The National Billboard’s Charts”. A hiatus followed after intensive touring with several members of the group agreeing to pursue solo projects. ARCHIE release his first solo project soon after entitled “ALL MY LOVE” which contained numerous ballads and sultry love songs. While working in the studio ARCHIE was approached by the BARKAYS to be a lead vocalist, on their hit single “YOU’RE MY JOY” on their recent CD entitled “ THE REAL THING” on JEA RIGHT NOW RECORDS. ARCHIE’S single “SHOULD’VE BEEN THERE FOR YOU” got rave reviews at Radio and in the industry. “SAME WOMEN” featuring J. BLACKFOOT is still topping the charts. Both are from the full length CD entitled “SINCERELY YOURS”. ARCHIE is back! With a new release” TUNE UP” after being out only a week, this single is already table top conversation! This cut is climbing the charts at a fast pace and is from his new CD entitled “LOVE CHRONICLES” this master piece is one of the best ones yet. ARCHIE given the title 'The Love Man', believe me it's definately for a reason! and he wear the title well. He has so much love to give, so you won't miss out on all the Love, Archie has take all the love songs from his past albums and compiled them into one great CD entitled, 'All About Love'.
