Dave Gonzalez of The Paladins and Hacienda Brothers, is embarking on a new phase in his career as owner and operator of his very own recording studio, RattleShack Analog in Driftwood, Texas. His 2023 release 'Grits 'N Gravy Vol. 1' is the first album Gonzalez recorded there. It is also the second collaboration with his wife, the fabulous singer Susanna Van Tassel. Their first album was a great country record, but this album has taken a different direction. It is a collection of '60s styled soul duets, jazz and funk instrumentals, plus a little blues and swamp pop thrown in for good measure.
