Caina is a dynamic collective featuring the core-group of multi-instrumentalist Curtis-Brignell, vocalist Laurence Taylor and bassist Fraser Samson. With 2015's 'Setter Of Unseen Snares' the project revisits its roots in black metal. The name "Caina" refers to an eternally frozen lake in Dante's 'Inferno' (14th century); a bottomless fissure filled with blackened ice, reverberating with the lament of innumerable damned souls, from which there is no escape.
