Harold Alexander is a jazz saxophonist/flutist who issued a few excellent albums in the early 1970s. One of these, Raw Root, was originally issued on Atlantic Records in 1974. It has never been issued on CD until now. Featured on this album are Lenny White, Richard Davis, George Cables & Billy Alessi. Strings & horns are arranged & conducted by Arif Mardin.
