Marina Zettl, Thomas Mauerhofer and Christian Bakanic open the door to enter into a magical green world. The album fikus has clear melodies, soundscapes imbued with ordinary everyday sounds, and complex harmonic interconnections as well as virtuosity. These all harmonize with one another, coexisting side-by-side in order to create a comfortable atmospere within refined arrangements. The eight-stringed guitar offers a soft subsoil, the cello cuddles up gently to the accorion while the voice flutters coquettishly over their heads. Miniature hand-crafted sounds glisten out between the tones to make for a refreshingly different listening experience.
