'SELECTED RARE TOGOLESE RECORDINGS FROM 1971 TO 1981' - A
treasure-trove of rare and unusual recordings, mostly recorded
in Lom during the '70s. A fusion of traditional voodoo chants,
raw soul and Afro jazz. These 13-tracks were selected from
hundreds of rare recordings dating from the most prolific,
professional and exciting phase in the country's recording
history. Included are international stars such as Bella Bellow
(who even performed to Maracana stadium in Brazil), or Roger
Damawuzan, known as "the James Brown from Lom", and songs from
forgotten tapes sung in the Mina, Kabyi and Fon languages.
