FROST, Australia’s hardest working band??? Hmmm, let’s go on a quick tour.. FROST came together in Melbourne, the band recorded a four track demo with Peter Bowman (ex-Southern Sons). One of the tracks recorded was, 'Here I Go,' later to be re-recorded by the Brian Canham (Pseudo Echo) and Darren Danielson (Chocolate Starfish) band, 'Brill' for their self-titled debut album. Frost was selected to appear on the US college sampler, ‘Cheap N Easy’ – Unleashed by US companies; Gold Record Music & Music Rebellion. Following this the trio was selected to be part of the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) project, ‘The SBS Whatever Music Project.’ This lead to the group’s song, ‘You and Me’ being added to Nova 100’s ‘Made in Melbourne’ and receiving hi-rotation on Nova 100 and SBS Television. Frost appear on the MGM best seller compilation, ‘Independence – Volume One’ along side Aussie artists such as; Bluebottle Kiss, Skulker, Rhubarb, Epicure, Intercooler, Rollerball and Genevieve Maynard. The band then managed to gather up enough of their own money to record their first four-track EP, ‘The Usual Suspects,’ – which was received with mixed reviews and featured skinsman Jerry Speiser (ex-Men at Work). Now joined by Rohan Heddle (ex-Cordrazine) and after many live shows,’ Lemon, Timmy Porne and Rohan entered the studio to record the groups first full length album in early 2005 with producer Cameron McKenzie (ex-Horsehead). After the recording Rohan Heddle left, which saw the return of the bands original drummer, Joe James. On the back of hearing the tracks Shock Records offered to manufacture and distribute the album. In 2006 Frost received a clothing endorsement with Fly CLothing, a company owned by two of the guys from Regurgitor, and contributed music for the Short film, 'Passing The Baton,' a legacy film celebrating the 50 years between the Olympic '56 games and the Comm 2006 Games in Melbourne. The film launched seniors festival at Federation Square. Frost continue to perform live and are currently working on new material for their next release.
